What is a vehicle wrap?

Vehicle wraps can be any shape, size to truly give a vehicle your own custom spin. A full wrap covers the entire surface of the vehicle. A partial wrap covers only a portion of the vehicle and utilizes the vehicle’s paint as the backdrop for a completed design. Vehicle wraps are done with vinyl materials (think of it as a large decal) that conforms to the shape of your vehicle. They can be done in solid colors as "color change" or can have digitally printed designs on the vinyl to give your vehicle a personalized look or commercial advertising.

How Long Does A Vehicle Wrap Last?

A wrap that is taken care of can last for seven years or more in certain cases. However, a wrap that  lacks care and cleaning will see fading or cracking before the seventh year (just like paint if its not taken care of it will fade and peel). In our experience, we expect a lifetime of about 5-7 years for color change wraps, but have many customers who have had their wraps on for longer. 

Does a wrap affect the paint on my car?

We wrap with high end materials which are formulated with removable adhesive that does not harm your car's paint. In fact, the vinyl will actually protect your paint. When high-quality materials are used and the vinyl is installed correctly your paint will look the same as it did the day your wrap was put on. This can help with resale value and even longevity of your vehicles surface. You still must care for your wrap just like you would your paint, to ensure it lasts its full lifetime.

Can I Wash and wax my vehicle with a wrap?

.Yes, Hand washing and waxing is actually recommended, but to be safe certain materials may require a touch-less wash or special care instructions like no power washing. To learn more about care instructions and how to wash your wrap give us a call. 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A VEHICLE WRAP?

When the wrap is our primary focus, turn around time can be as short as a 3-5 days depending on complexity, we prefer to have the car for a week if possible to take extra precaution and attention to detail. Stripes, graphics & accent pieces can typically be completed within a day.. Since we’re a fully functioning print shop with more than just wraps on our plate, installation times will vary depending on the project and when it’s scheduled. If you’re on a deadline or want to expedite your install, just let us know what the time frame is and we’ll factor it in when we set up your appointment.

WhY IS YOUR ESTIMATE MORE EXPENSIVE?

As the age old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Our prices are a direct reflection of the quality of work that goes into each installation, and our installs are incredibly thorough. Being a 3M certified shop we have superior installation knowledge and skills backed by UASG and 3M. Speedy & cheap installs typically lead to cars being cut on, films not being properly applied or just using cheap material, this ultimately leads to a shorter life span for the wrap. Another thing we do to ensure proper adhesion and no fail spots is to disassemble parts of your vehicle that the wrap can lay behind so that it can not lift at those edges. That means no unnecessary seams, no bad cuts, or messy edges. If the film we supplied fails because of an installation error, bring it in and we’ll make it right until you’re satisfied with the results.
